NITROCROSS
LAS VEGAS 2024
When you get a phone call from Jim York, expect him to pitch an idea that involves big air, going fast, crashing, and racing Baja Bugs—or maybe all of the above! With Jim needing a main sponsor for the final round of Nitro Rallycross in Las Vegas for the stock 1600cc Baja class, we knew Jim was going to do everything he could to put the Noveske Baja Bug at the front of the pack—or crash trying.
If you don’t know Jim York, search for him on YouTube. You’ll likely come across a spectacular crash compilation or some epic limousine stunts for your enjoyment. As you watch, you may begin to feel your skin prickling and you mind wondering “is Jim okay?!” Now, how did Jim York link up with Noveske before all this? Remember the badass limo in the Noveske Ghetto Blaster video? Yup, that’s one of Jim’s many limos!
The Baja Bug class is not only the most intense and entertaining class when it comes to racing, but with a little Noveske flavor added to the car, it was turning heads. What is Noveske? Who is Noveske? Everyone in the pits and the stands was drawn to the sleek wrap we put on the Baja Bug. We wrapped the car with our Noveske Raid Plaid pattern, and to top it off, we wanted to thank Jim for always being a friend, so we finished the roof with the Golden Girls and their Noveske rifles.
From leading laps, spinning out, bending bumpers, and making passes, Jim took an impressive 3rd place finish both nights of racing, celebrating with the notorious champagne shoey. Thanks Jim, for putting the Noveske Bug on the podium and giving the Golden Girls one more ride they’ll remember forever.
